no, amoxicillin fights bacteria & wo not cause cancer. however, it can have side effects such as yeast infection, tummyaches, & if u have any side effects that r not ''common'' please call the doctor. antibiotics can damage the liver, please take precautions. eat yogurt with active live cultures & probiotic supplements. And also if u do not get better after 21 days please call u doctor. The maximum that doctors can put u on antibiotics is 4 weeks & call if the antibiotics resisted.

Someone is trying to scare you Both those side affects are bogus When in doubt call your pharmacist I am not 100% sure about those side effects so give the pharmacy a call

If you are taking massive amounts of it for a long period of time especially when it is not necessary, yes it can damage your body. However, 21 days of an 875mg dose probably wont do any harm.

if you took it for 21 days only it wont cause cancer. I was on medication for 21 days at about 1050 mg per day and nothing happened
however prolonged intake of this drug could lower your red blood cells and could also weakon the bones so i suggest that after taking hte whole medication, you take vitamins rich in iron and calcium,, good luck!

You would have to take MASSIVE amounts of the stuff - like POUNDS - for a very long period of time to experience any damage. Amoxicillin is a very well-tolerated form of penicillin, and can be safely used by practically anyone who is not allergic to penicillin-related antibiotics.

You would have to be dosed for years to have anything bad happen. 21 days is not so very long. This is a very commonly prescribed antibiotic and if you have such concerns you should ask your doctor.
